Getting Started with Mnemo
Set up your account, create your first workspace, and run your first search.
Before you begin
You will need an invitation from your organisation administrator, or you can create a new account at the sign-up page. If your organisation is already using Mnemo, ask your administrator to send you an invitation.
Step 1: Create your account
- 1Go to the Mnemo sign-up page and enter your name, email address, and a password.
- 2Check your email for a verification link and click it to confirm your address.
- 3You will be asked for your job title and organisation size — fill these in and continue.
- 4You will land on the Mnemo dashboard.
Step 2: Create or join an organisation
- 1If you are the first person from your organisation, you will be prompted to create an organisation. Give it a name — this is usually your firm or team name.
- 2If someone has already created an organisation and invited you, you will see an option to accept the invitation. Click it to join.
- 3Once you are part of an organisation, you can see any workspaces that have been shared with you.
Step 3: Create your first workspace
- 1From the Mnemo dashboard, click 'New Workspace'.
- 2Give the workspace a name — for example, the name of a project, a client, or a topic area.
- 3Choose who can access this workspace (you can change this later).
- 4Click Create. Your workspace is now ready.
Step 4: Add some documents
- 1Inside your new workspace, click on the Knowledge tab.
- 2Click 'Add Documents' and choose to upload files from your computer.
- 3Select the files you want to add. PDF, Word, and text files are all supported.
- 4Mnemo will begin indexing the documents — this may take a few minutes depending on the volume. You will see a progress indicator.
- 5When indexing is complete, the documents are ready to search.
Step 5: Ask your first question
- 1Go to the Chat tab in your workspace.
- 2Type a question in plain English in the message box. For example: 'What are the planning conditions that require pre-commencement approval?'
- 3Press Enter or click Send.
- 4Mnemo will search your indexed documents and return an answer, along with the sources it drew on.
- 5Click on any source citation to see the relevant passage in context.
